How to detect fake:

Nintendo DS Games

Nintendo DS games went on sale in North America on November 21, 2004. Since then, counterfeit versions of these games have been showing up all over the internet and in many retail establishments too. Below are a few ways to determine if the game you have purchased or are ready to purchase is real or fake.

The first thing to look for is overall printing quality and label alignment. If you see obvious quality issues, it's probably fake.

Next, look at the quality and the print on the official seal. The words should be easy to read with clear edges and should just say "Seal" at the bottom, not "Seal of Quality"

Next, look at the print above the contacts on back. You should see many of the slots with print in them. Notice the fake above only has two.

Next, look at the same area above the contacts. Notice the circuits in the fake above. That should not be seen.

Next, look at the embossed print on back. Notice on the fake one, how the lettering and the oval line around "Nintendo" is much too fat.
