The first thing to check for is boot up time. A genuine S6 should boot up in about 10 seconds. The fakes usually take 30 seconds or more.
|
2
Next, look at the back of the phone. Notice the real one has "Galaxy S6" towards the bottom of the phone. Many of the fakes don't have it at all on the back, as shown on the right above.
|
3
Next, look at the flash lens. The fake just looks like a yellow circle while the genuine S6 is square with a chrome looking frame.
|
4
Next, look at the camera lens. The real one above is much wider than the fake.
|
5
Next, look at the sim card tray. The hole should be on top, near the button, like the real one on the left.
|
6
Next, look at the gray separator on the middle/side of the phone. Notice the real one has no gray separator on each side of the button.
|
7
Next, look at the wall adapter. The genuine S6 have a 9 volt output. Many of the fakes have a 5 volt output.
|
8
Next, you need to check to see what version of Android is on the phone. Go to:
- Settings
- About Phone
- Android Version or (Android 5.0.2 if fake)
You should see "Lollipop" if it's real. If you see anything else, it's fake.
|
9
Next, you need to check to see if the phone has fingerprint recognition. Go to:
- Settings
- Security
- Screen Lock
- Finger Print
You should see the screen above and be able to accept your finger print by pressing down on the home button 1 time.
|
10
Next, double tap the home button. On a genuine S6, it will open the camera. If it doesn't, it's fake.
|
11
And finally, go into download mode. Press "volume down" & "center home" & "power" buttons, all at the same time until the warning screen on the left pops up. When it does, press the "volume up" button and the screen on the right should show up.
If the screen on the upper/right appears, it's real. If you see Chinese letters on the screen, it's fake.
