How to detect fake:

Nike Air Max 2015

The Air Max 2015 holds the distinction of being the most knocked-off shoe to date. The fakes on the market are very close, as far as visually, to the authentic Air Max. Below are a few ways to tell the difference.

The first thing to look for is overall quality. Look for glue, alignment issues and stitching quality issues. If you see any of those items that jump out at you, they're probably fake.

Also, if you are purchasing shoes online, and they are under $100.00, assume they're fake.

Next, look at the flywires. They should be different tones of the same color, not contrasting colors.

Example: Light Blue/Dark Blue or Light Green/Dark Green

Next, turn the shoe over and look at the sole. In previous Air Max models, the Nike chip was located on the center bottom. The 2015 model is located in the insole, not on the sole.

Next, look at the "AIRMAX" on the side of the soles. The print color should be a lighter version of the color of the sole. The fake one on the right is printed in black. It should be printed in a pale green or nearly white.

Next, look at the logo on the tongue. The logo color should be the same color as the tongue as shown on the left.

The only exception to this is the White/Volt model. The logo color should be yellow on that model.

And last, look at the back of the shoe. They should have a solid panel on each side with one line through each panel.

Notice the fakes have 3 extra lines.
